Malaysia Airlines, SIA ink wide-ranging commercial deal


Malaysia Airlines Bhd CEO, Captain Izham Ismail said the airline was honoured to collaborate alongside SIA to provide its cutomers a more competitive product between Malaysia and Singapore and the opportunity to travel to more global destinations.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airlines Bhd (MAB) and Singapore Airlines (SIA) have sealed a wide-ranging commercial deal to significantly strengthen their long-standing partnership.

“Subject to regulatory approvals from the relevant competition authorities, the national carriers propose to share revenue on flights between Singapore and Malaysia, expand codeshare routes, and participate in joint marketing activities to develop tourism, ” they said in a joint statement on Wednesday.
