KUALA LUMPUR: Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Bhd is taking a cautious stance this year in line with the tough macroeconomic environment after having posted its highest earnings in six years.

The bank’s managing director and CEO Abrar A. Anwar told StarBiz that he remains cautiously optimistic on the global macroeconomic environment, adding that the possible challenges and outcomes are wider than it has been in a long time.
