TMC Life Sciences returns to profitability

PETALING JAYA: TMC Life Sciences Bhd is optimistic on achieving its growth targets on increased capacity and ongoing expansion at the Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara.

The company said it wants to continue broadening its customer mix by attracting more corporate and international patients, while strengthening collaborative partnerships with insurers to support mutually sustainable growth.

In its second quarter ended Dec 31, 2025 (2QFY26) TMC Life returned to profitability with a net profit of RM6.56mil away from the net loss seen in the same quarter of the previous year of RM947,000.

Revenue for the quarter was higher at RM103.5mil from RM80.4mil in the previous year's quarter.

"The increase in profit was due to contributions from our various specialties and cost efficiency initiatives at Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara.

“Evolving dynamics in the reimbursement environment continue to influence the private healthcare landscape, as payors place greater emphasis on affordability, efficiency and value," said the company in a Bursa Malaysia filing.
