Express Powerr secures contracts worth RM8.3mil for a public transportation project in Sarawak

PETALING JAYA: Express Powerr Solutions (M) Bhd has accepted three letters of awards for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of generator sets for a public transportation project in Sarawak with an aggregate value of approximately RM8.3mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the generator rental services provider said the contracts were awarded by several Malaysian contractors involved in the construction of infrastructure and related works at the project site.

“Express Powerr will supply 21 generator sets, with all contracts scheduled for completion by Dec 31, 2026.”

Managing director Lim Cheng Ten said the contracts mark the company’s first entry into Sarawak and represents a significant milestone in its geographic expansion.

“Sarawak offers strong long term potential, supported by sustained infrastructure development and strong public sector investment.

“This project builds on our East Malaysia expansion following our entry into Sabah in 2024. It demonstrates our capability to support large scale infrastructure works across different operating environments, while broadening our customer base beyond Peninsular Malaysia.”
