IJM wins RM505mil Affin HQ contract

KUALA LUMPUR: IJM Corp Bhd has bagged a RM505mil contract from Affin Bank Bhd to construct the bank's 47-storey headquarters building at Tun Razak Exchange (TRX).

IJM Corp said the project was expected to be completed by December 2020.

Meanwhile, in a separate statement, IJM Corp said the Grade-A office building would cover a gross floor area of about 76,600 square meters and would be built over a land area of about 0.51 hectares. 

"It comprises a 43-storey office tower on top of a four-storey podium car park and a three-storey basement car park, housing a total of 605 parking bays," said managing director and CEO Datuk Soam Heng Choon.

He said the contract reinforced the company's track record of building innovative and iconic high-rise projects in the city centre.

Currently, IJM Corp's outstanding construction order book stood at a near all-time high of RM9.3bil. - Bernama
