PETALING JAYA: Sime Darby Property Bhd
’s first township offering in five years in Serenia City close to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and KLIA2 has proved to be popular.
Freehold Serenia Amani, on 25.14 acres, has 302 units of 20’x70’ double-storey linked housing, of which 126 units were launched yesterday with prices starting from RM536,888. The units were sold within an hour of its launch with some buyers lining up at 4pm on Friday in order to wait for a Saturday launch.
“This shows that the right product at the right location with the right price will be well received,” said Sime Darby Property chief operating officer - township, Datuk Wan Hashimi Albakri in a press release.
Serenia City is a 1,775-acre township. A new Bandar Serenia interchange is being planned and estimated to be completed by October this year, linking the township to the ELITE Highway. Serenia City is already connected to the North-South Expressway, the MEX Highway and is situated near the Salak Tinggi ERL station.
Earlier, on March 24, Sime Darby Property also launched Orkid, a 10.07-acre freehold development comprising 132 units of double-storey linked homes with prices from RM488,888 in Nilai Impian. It achieved a 76% take-up rate on launch day for that project.
Wan Hashimi said Nilai Impian will form the gateway to Malaysia Vision Valley, a project to span 30 years and which is part of Sime Darby Property’s long term growth plan. Vision Valley’s key infrastructure is the Kuala Lumpur - Singapore High Speed Rail (HSR) link project. One of the stations will be located in Labu.
Served by major highways such as the North-South Expressway (NSE), Kajang-Seremban Expressway (LEKAS) and ELITE Expressway, this township is right next to and directly connected to the Nilai Interchange via the PLUS highway. Sime Darby Property has 20,743 acres of remaining developable land as at Dec 31, 2017. Known for its Subang Jaya and UEP Subang Jaya townships, it has to date built 23 townships/developments with a global reach that encompasses assets and operations across the Asia Pacific region and the Britain.
Sime Darby Property forms part of a Malaysian consortium building the iconic Battersea Power Station project in London.
