Telekom inks MoU with TNB to deliver Nationwide Fiberisation Plan


TNB has an extensive fibre optic network, present in its transmission lines and main substations, which can be utilised to expand high speed broadband access into rural areas.

KUALA LUMPUR: Telekom Malaysia Bhd and Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) have teamed up to develop a plan to expand the availability of high speed internet access in the country and bring down the cost of the service.

“This collaboration will capitalise on the combined strength of both government-linked companies (GLCs) in terms of reach, infrastructure and expertise,” the two companies said in a joint statement to Bursa Malaysia.
