FRANKFURT: Deutsche Lufthansa AG cut its 2016 profit forecast after terrorist attacks and economic uncertainty sapped demand for travel to Europe.
Adjusted earnings will fall rather than rise slightly, even after profit increased in the first six months, Lufthansa said in a statement late Wednesday. Unit revenue in the passenger airline division will be “significantly weaker” in the third quarter.
