KUALA LUMPUR: The outflow of the ringgit declined marginally in the last two weeks. This is based on Bank Negara’s latest international reserves figure, which stood at RM386.5bil (US$110.6bil) as at Jan 30, 2015, compared with US$111.2bil as at Jan 15.
The central bank said the reserves position was sufficient to finance 7.9 months of retained imports and was 1.1 times the short-term external debt.
