PETALING JAYA: AirAsia X (AAX) has appointed Benyamin Ismail to replace Azran Osman-Rani as the airline’s new acting CEO with its founding member Datuk Kamarudin Meranun (pic) taking over as group CEO of the loss-making medium-haul airline.

AAX has also proposed to raise RM395mil via a rights issue that comes with free warrants to pare debts and fund its operations.
