Wan Azmi: An abuse of power

THE Selangor Water Management Authority’s (LUAS) decision not to renew the raw water extraction licences of concessionaires when they expire at the end of May is an abuse of its administrative power to frustrate and prevent concessionaires from performing their obligations, says businessman Tan Sri Wan Azmi Wan Hamzah.

Speaking for the first time after Syarikat Pengeluar Air Sungai Selangor (Splash), in which he is a shareholder, rejected Selangor’s latest RM9.65bil offer, he describes the move by LUAS as quite unethical and unbecoming of any responsible government.
