Shahrol vacates 1Malaysia Development CEO post to eventually head Pemandu


PETALING JAYA: 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) founding managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Shahrol Halmi has left the position to join another government unit - the Performance Management and Delivery Unit (Pemandu).

People familiar with the matter said Shahrol would report directly to Pemandu chief executive officer Datuk Seri Idris Jala and would take over the portfolio of Mohammed Emir Mavani Abdullah, who has since been appointed as chief executive officer-designate at Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd. According to the Pemandu website, Emir is oil, gas & energy, and financial services National Key Economic Area director, among others.
