KUCHING: A lack of raw materials, particularly of hardwood timber, is hampering the growth of the local furniture industry.
Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department Larry Sng said the industry was facing difficulties in getting timber supplies, resulting in some manufacturers having to downsize their operations.
