NO FRILLS airline AirAsia Sdn Bhd will spend RM125.4mil to upgrade security and safety technologies in 11 aircraft that it has purchased from General Electric Company, in addition to RM380,000 for new interior furnishing.
The interior will feature leather seats and red carpets, chief executive officer Tony Fernandes told StarBiz in Petaling Jaya on Monday. The company's existing seven aircraft would gradually be refitted.
