THE number of tourist arrivals is large, growth has been spectacular and the amount of visitors coming from neighbouring countries is on the rise.
After the number of tourists into Malaysia came in just shy of the 14 million mark last year, an ambitious target of one tourist for every Malaysian, or 23 million tourist arrivals, has been set. And the government wants tourists to stay longer, own property and spend more money in Malaysia.
