KUALA LUMPUR: KPJ Healthcare Bhd will continue advancing its KPJ Health System following its strong financial year 2025 (FY2025) performance.
The group will focus on deeper integration across its hospital network, expanded convergence initiatives and accelerated development of Centres of Excellence.
In a statement in conjunction with its 33rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) today, KPJ Healthcare said it also plans to expand the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), genomics and value-based care to support more personalised and outcome-focused healthcare delivery.
"As Malaysia's first private integrated Academic Health System, KPJ Healthcare remains committed to translating these efforts into better health outcomes and sustainable value for the communities it serves,” it noted.
KPJ Healthcare revenue increased by nine per cent to RM4.26 billion in FY2025 from RM3.90 billion in FY2024, while profit before tax rose six per cent to RM563 million and profit after tax advanced 10 per cent to RM402 million.
Its chairman Tan Sri Dr Ismail Bakar said FY2025 reflected the continued evolution of KPJ Healthcare beyond a network of hospitals towards a more integrated health system that brings together clinical practice,
education, research and innovation.
"This approach strengthens our ability to deliver high-quality care, develop future healthcare talent and support innovation, while creating sustainable value for patients, communities and shareholders,” he said.
Meanwhile, its president and managing director Chin Keat Chyuan said that during FY2025, the group made meaningful progress across clinical excellence, talent development and innovation, while strengthening the foundations needed to support the group's future growth.
Among key developments during the year were the launch of the Heart and Lung Centre of Excellence at Johor Specialist Hospital, Malaysia's first private-sector Pressurised Intraperitoneal Aerosol Chemotherapy (PIPAC) procedure and Deep Brain Stimulation surgery, as well as continued engagement with Mayo Clinic.
In FY2025, the group also expanded specialised training through KPJ Healthcare University's School of Digital Health and AI Academy, introduced a Research Management System partnered with the University of Melbourne to support digital health innovation and developed an AI-powered patient engagement chatbot with IBM Malaysia.
Building on its FY2025 momentum, the group has continued advancing its strategic priorities in FY2026, including the launch of the Neuroscience and Stroke Centre of Excellence at Damansara Specialist Hospital 2, completion of a kidney transplant procedure at Tawakkal Specialist Hospital, and the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Royal College of Surgeons of England to strengthen clinical excellence and healthcare talent development across the KPJ Health System.
