Magnitude 5.2 earthquake strikes Turkiye


ISTANBUL (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) -- A magnitude 5.2 earthquake was recorded on Sunday in Turkiye’s Osmaniye province in the southeast of the country, the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) said, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.

"A magnitude 5.2 earthquake occurred in Osmaniye province at 2.43 pm [11:43 GMT], with the epicentre located near the village of Sumbas,” the statement read.

The epicentre was at a depth of seven kilometres.

A few minutes earlier, two earthquakes of magnitude 4.9 and 4.8 were recorded in neighbouring Adana province.
