MANILA: President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has declared special non-working days in five municipalities in Isabela, Cebu, Palawan, Nueva Vizcaya and Davao del Sur to allow residents to participate in their respective local celebrations.
Under Proclamation No. 1450, Marcos declared Sept 28 (Monday) a special non-working day in the Municipality of Luna, Isabela, in celebration of its 77th founding anniversary.
Sept 29 (Tuesday) was declared a special non-working day in the Municipality of Argao, Cebu, through Proclamation No. 1451, to mark Araw ng Argao.
In Palawan, Oct 1 (Thursday) was declared a special non-working day in the Municipality of Aborlan for its town fiesta under Proclamation No. 1452.
Meanwhile, Proclamation No. 1453 declared Oct 2 (Friday) a special non-working day in the Municipality of Solano, Nueva Vizcaya, in celebration of Solano Day.
Proclamation No. 1454 declared Oct 5 (Monday) a special non-working day in the Municipality of Santa Cruz, Davao del Sur, in celebration of its 142nd founding anniversary.
The proclamations were issued to give residents of the respective municipalities the opportunity to participate in and enjoy the celebrations.
All five proclamations were signed on Thursday (Sept 24) by Acting Executive Secretary Ralph Recto by authority of the President. - Philippine Daily Inquirer/ANN
