KABUL: A total of 875 Afghan nationals have been released from prisons in Pakistan and returned to Afghanistan over the past week, the Afghan Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation said Thursday.
The returnees included families, children and single individuals who had been detained in Pakistani prisons for varying periods and different reasons, according to a ministry statement.
Of the returnees, 810 entered Afghanistan through the Torkham crossing, while the remaining 65 returned through the Spin Boldak crossing, the ministry said. - Xinhua
