BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Three young Bruneian environmental leaders arel representing Brunei at the Asean-Japan Young Environmental Leaders Network (AJYELN) Project Management Training, in Jakarta, Indonesia, from Aug 11 to 13.
The programme brings together young environmental leaders from across Asean and provides participants with practical training in project management, leadership and the development of environmental initiatives.
Representing Brunei are Nabilah Azzahra’ Zamrin, Zuyyin Khairena Abdul Malik and Nurzukina Ameerah Awang, with Muhammad Izzuddin Nor Hisham participating as the Brunei delegation’s AJYELN mentor.
The programme officially commenced with an opening ceremony at the AseanSecretariat in Jakarta on Aug 11, officiated by the secretary-general of the Asean-Japan Centre.
Through the programme, the Brunei fellows will have the opportunity to strengthen their project management capabilities, exchange ideas with fellow young environmental leaders from across Asean, and develop their capacity to contribute to environmental and sustainability efforts in their respective communities.
The participation also provides an opportunity for Brunei youth to contribute to regional discussions on environmental challenges while strengthening connections and collaboration among young leaders across Asean and Japan. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
