China to fully implement DOC and complete COC with Asean countries, says Chinese delegation

MANILA (Xinhua): China will continue to fully and effectively implement the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea with ASEAN countries and work toward the early conclusion of a Code of Conduct, to jointly maintain peace and stability in the South China Sea region, the Chinese delegation said here.

The Chinese delegation made the remarks when refuting Japan's false rhetoric regarding the South China Sea at the ASEAN Regional Forum and the East Asia Summit Foreign Ministers' Meetings held in Manila, the Philippines.

The less external forces engage in sowing discord and fanning the flames, the more confidence and capability regional countries will have in safeguarding peace and stability in this region, added the Chinese delegation. -- XInhua
