Top Indian singer Naan Pradeep Kumar is bringing his "Pudhu Vidha Anubavam" live concert to Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, August 1, 2026. The soulful musical performance will take place at the Plenary Hall, KLCC, with the show starting at 7:30 pm.

Pradeep is the top Indian playback singer and music director who has worked in Tamil language films. After beginning his career as a Carnatic musician, he has regularly collaborated with composers Santhosh Narayanan and Sean Roldan. As a singer he has performed some of the best Tamil songs heard in recent times.
In 2016, a music critic from The Hindu labelled the three - Santosh, Pradeep and Sean - as "the new-age musical trio of Tamil cinema"

The much-awaited Pradeep concert for fans is by Aakaar Foundation along with Roots Entertainment. Aakaar Foundation along with Roots Entertainment has collectively built a reputation for creating experiences that leave a lasting cultural imprint. Since its inception in 2019 and subsequent registration as a foundation in 2021, Aakaar Foundation has evolved from a small group of art enthusiasts into one of Malaysia’s most ambitious curators of Indian performing arts.
Founded on the belief that art has the power to inspire, heal and unite communities, Aakaar derives its name from two meanings: “root” in Malay and “shape/form” in Sanskrit. The symbolism reflects its mission: to stay rooted in culture while shaping new artistic experiences for contemporary audiences.
The organisation’s philosophy is simple - art is more than performance; it is a catalyst for dialogue, reflection and human connection.
Helmed by co-founders Krithika Prabhakar and Vinothkumar Subramaniam, together with Mathavan Muniandy (trustee) and Kannan Subramaniam (project director). Also including a team of passionate collaborators, Aakaar has consistently challenged conventional programming by presenting productions that blur artistic boundaries and encourage cultural conversations.
What began with intimate experimental productions has since grown into large-scale concerts featuring internationally acclaimed artists. Over the years, Aakaar has curated an eclectic portfolio that spans classical music, theatre, storytelling and contemporary collaborations.
The foundation continued pushing artistic boundaries through productions such as Music Through the Wind, which combined Indian and continental musical traditions using instruments including the Chinese guzheng and hang drum, as well as Kannathil Muthamittal, a multidisciplinary tribute to Mahakavi Subramania Bharati that brought together music, literature and spoken word.
Social consciousness has also been central to Aakaar’s programming. Its production Bhumi used the language of Carnatic and Hindustani music to raise awareness about climate change while serving as a fundraiser for victims of the Australian bushfires, demonstrating the foundation’s belief that art can meaningfully respond to global issues.
Following the pandemic, Aakaar staged a successful comeback with a tribute concert honouring legendary playback singer S.P. Balasubrahmanyam, attracting many attendees. It subsequently expanded its footprint with increasingly ambitious productions featuring some of India’s biggest contemporary musicians.
Its collaborations with acclaimed playback singer Pradeep proved to be watershed moments, beginning with sold-out performances at Kuala Lumpur’s Plenary Hall before progressing to Penang’s SPICE Arena and later a full-house spectacle at Axiata Arena. The latter featured 46 performing artists and became the first Indian concert in Malaysia to collaborate with a 24-piece Malaysian orchestra, creating a distinctive cross-cultural sonic experience.
The foundation has also welcomed National Award-winning composer Sean Roldan, progressive Carnatic rock band AGAM, and launched Payanam, a TED-style speaker series bringing together inspiring personalities from diverse fields, including mountaineer Datuk M. Magendran and singer Pradeep Kumar.
Aakaar also produced what it describes as another milestone in its journey: TM Krishna and Friends, scheduled in February 2026 at the Shantanand Auditorium, Temple of Fine Arts, Kuala Lumpur. The concert featured Sangita Kalanidhi T.M. Krishna alongside distinguished artistes including Padma Shri Sheikh Mahaboob Subhani, Padma Shri Kaleeshabi Mahaboob, Akkarai Sornalatha, TR Govindarajan and Shri Sundar Kumar, bringing together some of India’s most celebrated classical musicians on one stage.
Beyond presenting world-class performances, Aakaar’s aspirations extended into social impact work. As a registered foundation, it aims to support underprivileged communities and provide opportunities for artists facing financial hardship through sponsorships and institutional partnerships. Its long-term vision is to preserve artistic heritage while creating sustainable platforms for future generations of performers.
