'A wonderful show for my Malaysian fans': Indian superstar Pradeep Kumar promises a soulful night for his super concert in KLCC Plenary Hall

Top Indian singer Naan Pradeep Kumar is bringing his "Pudhu Vidha Anubavam" live concert to Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, August 1, 2026.

The soulful musical performance will take place at the Plenary Hall, KLCC, with the show starting at 7.30pm, and the singer has promised an unforgettable night of music for his fans.

The 40-year-old Trichy-born star said in an interview with The Star said that he is looking forward to the show, which is incidentally his second show in the same venue.

The show is also special because Pradeep will share the stage with his band and also a 27-man symphony orchestra troupe led by the legendary Datuk Mustafa Fuzer  Nawi, the former Music Director and Chief Conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra of Malaysia, serving from 1999 until his retirement in 2020. Mustaffa has spent 27 years building and shaping local orchestral music culture.

"Actually, Malaysia has a very special place in my heart. Every time I come here, I'm welcomed, and all my previous shows have had a tremendous response. I hope fans continue to support the group as this concert is a very special one. IT will be an unforgettable night for all the fans," said Pradeep.

It will also be a special outing for Pradeep as his wife Kalyani Nair, an acclaimed playback singer, orchestral arranger, and choir conductor, herself will also be on stage with him for the concert.

"It is always great when you share the stage with the one you love most. And Kalyani herself is a brilliant musician, and it is always memorable when I know my wife is always near me when I perform," added Pradeep.

This is the fourth time Pradeep is performing in Malaysia. The KLCC Plenary Hall was also the first time Pradeep performed in Malaysia in 2022.

He also performed in 2023 at the Penang Spice Hall and then also a sold-out show at the Axiata Indoor Stadium in Bukit Jalil in 2024, where more than 13,000 fans flooded the venue.

"That (the 2024 concert) was unforgettable. And I hope it will be another amazing concert on Aug 1. I'm really looking forward, and it is always a great pleasure for me to perform in front of Malaysian fans."

For the record, Pradeep is the top Indian playback singer and music director who has worked in Tamil-language films. After beginning his career as a Carnatic musician, he has regularly collaborated with top composers in his musical career.

The brilliant song of 'Aval' in the movie Manithan under Sony Music has hit an incredible over 800 million views on music platforms. It has been said to be one of the most soulful Tamil love songs in the new age.

The celebrated musician Mustafa Fuzer added that the concert will be an unforgettable time for Malaysian Indian music fans.

"I have worked with Pradeep ever since he first came to Malaysia. And he is such a brilliant musician who has always amazed me with his humility and also his amazing skills.

"And this time with a full concerto supporting, it is going to be a brilliant time for all music fans," said Mustafa Fuzer.

The much-awaited Pradeep concert for fans is by Aakaar Foundation along with Roots Entertainment. Aakaar Foundation along with Roots Entertainment has collectively built a reputation for creating experiences that leave a lasting cultural imprint. Since its inception in 2019 and subsequent registration as a foundation in 2021, Aakaar Foundation has evolved from a small group of art enthusiasts into one of Malaysia’s most ambitious curators of Indian performing arts.

Helmed by co-founders Krithika Prabhakar and Vinothkumar Subramaniam, together with Mathavan Muniandy (trustee) and Kannan Subramaniam (project director). Also including a team of passionate collaborators, Aakaar has consistently challenged conventional programming by presenting productions that blur artistic boundaries and encourage cultural conversations.

Krithika said during the same interview session that she is hoping for a brilliant outing for all music fans when Pradeep and Mustafa Fuzer combine their skills again for the concert on Aug 1.

"We expect a very amazing concert for all music fans. Ticket sales for the concert have been brisk, and we are hoping that the concert will once again be a big success, especially for the fans who will always remember this concert come Saturday (Aug 1)," says Krithika.
