Four killed as passenger bus crashes off expressway in Vietnam's capital


HANOI: Four people were killed and several others were injured after a passenger bus veered off the Phap Van-Cau Gie Expressway in Vietnam's capital Hanoi early Friday (July 17), local newspaper Tuoi Tre reported.

The accident occurred at around 12:15 a.m. as the bus was traveling from the northern province of Ninh Binh to Hanoi. It left the expressway, crashed through a guardrail and plunged onto a parallel service road below.

There were 32 people on board. Three victims were pronounced dead at the scene, while another died after being taken to hospital.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident. - Xinhua
