One dead, two injured in separate stabbing incidents in eastern Australia

SYDNEY, (Australia): (Bernama-Xinhua) One man has died and two others have been hospitalised following two separate stabbing incidents in the Australian state of New South Wales (NSW), police said.

According to NSW Police, emergency services responded to reports of a stabbing in the suburb of Hamilton South, about 115 kilometres north of Sydney, at around 3.30 pm on Saturday (July 11), reported Xinhua.

Officers arrived at the scene and found a man believed to be in his 40s suffering from a stab wound. He was treated by ambulance paramedics before taken to the hospital, where he later died.

In a separate incident, emergency services were called to reports of an assault at a home in western Sydney shortly after midnight.

NSW Police said officers encountered a large group of people gathered at the house but initially found no one with injuries.

A short time later, two men believed to be in their 20s were found in separate vehicles nearby, one with stab wounds to his torso and the other with injuries to his thigh.

Both were taken to hospital in stable condition.
