Over 130,000 students pass Myanmar's nationwide matriculation exam

YANGON: More than 130,000 students have passed Myanmar's nationwide matriculation examination for the 2025-2026 academic year, according to the Department of Myanmar Examinations, which released the results on Sunday (June 28).

Of the 255,228 candidates who sat for the exam, 133,673 achieved passing scores, translating to a pass rate of 52.37 per cent, the department reported.

Among Myanmar's states and regions, Mandalay recorded the highest pass rate at 62.22 per cent. A total of 45,635 students from Mandalay took the exam, with 28,393 successfully passing. The department also noted that the country's top-scoring student hails from Mandalay Region. - Xinhua
