After a year of creating their own phenomenon in the arena, local M-Pop sensation group Alpha is set to celebrate another significant milestone in their artistic journey with the launch of their highly anticipated first full studio album titled "The First Wave."
More special, the album launch is held in conjunction with the first anniversary of Alpha's establishment, which took place on June 14, 2026, from 12 noon to 9pm at Pavilion Damansara Heights.
The event not only serves as a platform to introduce their debut album to the public but also as a stage for Alpha to celebrate a meaningful year-long journey with the fans who have always supported them since day one.
Comprising Daniel, Izat, Rizal, Ariel, Araff, Ray-D, and Sky, Alpha continues to strengthen its position as one of the most prominent male groups in the local entertainment industry through a fresh musical identity, energetic performances, and a fan base that is growing day by day.
"The First Wave" is Alpha's first full studio album since signing with Rocketfuel Entertainment and symbolizes the development, maturity, and evolution of their music throughout their first year in the industry.
Containing 12 tracks, this album brings together various genres and musical styles that reflect ALPHA's abilities. Among the songs included in the album are "Mona Lisa (Bang Bang)", "P. Ramlee Saloma," "Bujang," "Tiada Pengganti," and their latest hit single, "Gelato," which has received a warm reception from fans.

Through the announcement made on Alpha's official social media platform, fans will be treated to several new works such as "Mahkota Cinta," "Gerak," "Roman Empire," "Dia feat. AG Coco," and several other songs that are expected to become fan favorites.
Among the works that have garnered the most attention since their announcement is "Burn It Down," a song recorded in South Korea while Alpha underwent intensive training through the "ALPHA Dreams Unlocked: Seoul Chapter" programme, which can be watched on Astro GO.
More interestingly, the song received the touch of international composers Daniel Caesar and Candace Sosa, who have previously produced works for several big names in K-Pop, including BTS, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, and ENHYPEN.
The valuable experience in Seoul not only provided Alpha with the opportunity to enhance their abilities but also opened up avenues for them to collaborate with internationally renowned creative talents in producing higher quality and more competitive works.
According to Daniel Sher, this album is the most meaningful gift for fans who have always been with Alpha throughout their first year.
"It feels like just yesterday we started this journey together. In the span of a year, we learned many things, faced various challenges, and created so many memories. 'The First Wave' is a symbol of all the effort and sacrifices we have poured throughout this journey, and we want to share this special moment with all the fans who have always supported us since day one," he said.
Meanwhile, Izat Ibrahim said the album showcases a more mature side of Alpha as well as diversity in terms of music.
"This album is very special to us because each song carries a different identity and emotion." We experimented with various genres and presented a side of Alpha that may not have been heard before. We really can't wait to hear the fans' reactions when they enjoy the entire album for the first time," he said.
Ray-D added that the launch of "The First Wave" holds significant meaning for all members of Alpha: "For us, this album is not just a collection of songs." It captures our journey as a group, the dreams we are pursuing, and the bond we have built with our fans over the past year. That's why we are very excited to meet and celebrate this moment with them on the launch day.
Head of Rocketfuel Entertainment, Mathan Rajasingam, described the launch of this album as an important achievement not only for Alpha but also for the development of the local music industry as a whole.
"In a short period, Alpha has proven that they have great potential to develop as a group capable of bringing the identity of Malaysian M-Pop to a higher level. 'The First Wave' is not just their debut album but also a manifestation of the dedication, discipline, and hard work they have shown throughout the past year. We are very proud of this achievement and believe it is just the beginning of more successes to come," he said.
