Pakistani interior minister in Tehran to discuss bilateral ties, regional developments


TEHRAN: (Bernama-IRNA) Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi arrived in Tehran for an official visit aimed at holding high-level discussions with Iranian officials in line with Islamabad's ongoing mediation efforts between Iran and the United States.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Naqvi arrived in Tehran on Saturday (June 6) and is scheduled to hold talks with Iranian authorities, including Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

Prior to his departure for Tehran, Naqvi met with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during which he received directives regarding the ongoing negotiations between Tehran and Washington.

Over the past 48 hours, Naqvi held talks twice with Iran's Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni, on the sidelines of an international conference in Kyrgyzstan. - Bernama-IRNA
