BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: The Lions Club of Bandar Seri Begawan (Lions Club BSB) spread joy and festive cheer to students of Pusat Bahagia Tutong during a recent annual Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.

The celebration featured musical and dance performances by participants and staff of Pusat Bahagia Tutong, the presentation of Hari Raya green packets, a lucky draw session and the distribution of door gifts. Guests were also treated to a festive spread.

Meanwhile, the Lions Club BSB also handed over a contribution of BND500 (US$393) to Pusat Bahagia Tutong.

“Every individual deserves respect, dignity and equal opportunity,” the organisers affirmed.

“Through inclusion, compassion and acceptance, we can collectively shape a society that celebrates abilities rather than limitations.”

The event served as a reminder of the collective responsibility to build a more inclusive and empathetic society.

It sought to elevate awareness and cultivate a deeper understanding of individuals who are differently-abled, ensuring they are recognised, respected and embraced as integral members of the community.

Head of the Disability Division Nurul Nazurah Jaya, together with President Lion Rasel Miah, First Vice President Lion Aysha Siddika Dola, Secretary Lion Sunil Ramchandani, Immediate Past President Lion Maya Ramchandani, Treasurer Lion Susheel Kaur Chopra, and Lion Lynda Sidhu were in attendance. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
