BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Sekolah Melayu Muhammad Alam (SMMA) Alumni Group members commemorated Hari Raya Aidil Fitri with a festive gathering Friday (April 10), bringing together former students and teachers, as well as current staff and teachers.

In his opening remarks, event chairman Abdul Aziz Abdul Gani noted the importance of the gathering in fostering stronger ties between former friends, students and teachers of the school, many of whom have grown up and forged their paths in life.

“In this Hari Raya Aidil Fitri celebration, I hope we can find forgiveness in the spirit of the celebration, and that this will not be the only reunion that will be hosted, as I look forward to meeting with our alumni in the future,” he said.

The celebration continued with song and dance performances. Prizes were also handed out to lucky attendees as part of the lucky draw activities.

The gathering provided opportunities for former students and teachers to convene and share an occasion as they recalled their former school days.

The school is now known as Muhammad Alam Primary School. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
