Brunei Tutong festival draws hundreds with parade, fireworks, bazaar

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Brunei's Tutong District came alive on Saturday (Aug 1) with a festive celebration featuring a parade, fireworks display and bazaar, attracting hundreds of residents and visitors.

According to the Tutong District Office, the event serves as a platform to unite the community through the themes of community, culture, art and economy while strengthening social ties among residents.

The district office said the festival also aims to boost the socio-economic development of the local population, particularly micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, through the bazaar held throughout the celebration.

The event is also intended to stimulate Tutong's development as a strategic and attractive business and tourism destination by showcasing its vibrant community spirit, cultural heritage and local products. - Xinhua
