Iran FM Araghchi delivers Alidilfitri message, expresses appreciation for South-East Asian muslim solidarity

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi extended Aidilfitri greetings to Muslims in the South-East Asian region.

In a post on the X social network, Araghchi also expressed his appreciation to the governments and the people of the region for their solidarity with Iran.

"I thank the governments and Muslim communities, as well as the justice-loving people in Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei), who condemned the brutal aggression of the United States and the Zionist regime against the Muslim community of Iran during the month of Ramadan and showed their solidarity,” he said.

Military hostilities in West Asia escalates following the US and Israel continued attacks on Iran since Feb 28, killing civilians and top Iranian officials including late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and national security chief Ali Larijani.

In response, Tehran launched targeted strikes on Israel and multiple US assets and bases across the Gulf states.
