Boom time - Cambodia expects high growth of Chinese tourists in 2026


PHNOM PENH (Xinhua): Cambodia expects strong growth in Chinese tourist arrivals in 2026 as the kingdom plans to implement a pilot visa exemption from June 15 to Oct 15, Tourism Minister Huot Hak said.

Cambodia welcomed a total of 5.57 million international tourists in 2025, of which more than 1.2 million were Chinese tourists, representing a sharp rise of 41.5 per cent year-on-year, he said on Saturday evening at the launch of the 10th China-Cambodia Mobile Film Tour.
