Blood donation drives scheduled nationwide in Brunei

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: The Blood Donation Centre under the Department of Laboratory Services will conduct two blood donation campaigns over the next week to bolster the blood supply at blood banks nationwide.

A blood donation campaign will be held on Jan 6-7 at the Ground Floor of Freshco Batu Satu, Plaza Abdul Razak, from 10am to 3pm.

Meanwhile, the Brunei Darussalam Food Authority (BDFA) will also host a blood donation campaign on Jan 8 at Block B22, Simpang 32-27, Anggerek Desa Technology Park, from 9am to 11.30am, and 1pm to 3.30pm.

The last blood donation campaign for the week will be on Jan 10, at the First Floor of OneCity Shopping Complex, Jalan Utama Salambigar, from 10am to 3pm, organised by Boeffi International (B) Sdn Bhd.

The public can also donate blood directly at the Blood Donation Centre of Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital during working hours from 8am to 11.30am and from 1.30pm to 4pm.

The public is encouraged to donate blood as all blood types are needed to meet the ongoing transfusion demands in hospitals across the country, and to use the Bloodkad mobile application to book donation slots. – Borneo Bulletin/ANN
