Myanmar's Kayah State Chief Minister reassigned to military duties


YANGON: The Office of the National Defence and Security Council (NDSC) announced Tuesday (Dec 30) through Order No. 54/2025 that Kayah State Chief Minister Zaw Myo Tin (pic) has been reassigned to resume his original military duties.

According to the order, the National Defence and Security Council took this action in accordance with Section 427, Subsection (b) of the Constitution of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

In addition, the National Defence and Security Council issued Order No. 55/2025, appointing Sein Oo as the new Chief Minister of Kayah State under Section 427, Subsection (b) of the Constitution.

Sein Oo, who has been appointed as Kayah State Chief Minister, was previously serving as the Minister for Economic Affairs in the Kayah State Government, it is reported. - Eleven Media/ANN
