PHNOM PENH (Xinhua): Cambodia and Myanmar signed four pacts on Friday to strengthen bilateral cooperation across trade, investment, culture, and media, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet said.
The signing ceremony took place at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh following a bilateral meeting between Hun Manet and visiting Myanmar President Min Aung Hlaing.
According to a post on his social media platforms, Hun Manet detailed the scope of the agreements, which encompass the elimination of double taxation, mutual promotion and protection of investments, an amendment to cultural cooperation, and a memorandum of understanding on media and information.
Min Aung Hlaing arrived in the Cambodian capital on Friday morning for a two-day state visit. Earlier in the day, he held high-level talks with Cambodia's Senate President and Acting Head of State Samdech Techo Hun Sen.
The Myanmar president is scheduled to conclude his trip on Saturday with a tour of the UNESCO-listed Angkor Archaeological Park in the northwestern Siem Reap province. -- Xinhua
