MANILA: Missing bride-to-be Sherra de Juan was found in Pangasinan province, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said on Monday afternoon (Dec 29).

De Juan was last seen at around 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 10 near the corner of Commonwealth Avenue and Atherton Street in North Fairview, Quezon City. She was set to marry her fiancé Mark Arjay Reyes on Dec. 14.

“Earlier… Ms. Sherra’s boyfriend and brother went to the police station [in Fairview] and reported that they received a call saying that Ms. Sherra was found in… Pangasinan,” QCPD Director Col. Randy Glenn Silvio said in Filipino in an interview at their headquarters in Camp Karingal.

The police chief did not identify the tipster but detailed that they reached out online to de Juan’s family, who then confirmed that it was the missing bride-to-be.

In a separate social media post, the QCPD announced that personnel from its Fairview station and de Juan’s family had already left Manila to fetch her and were expected to return home late Monday afternoon.

The police team reached de Juan at Sison town, Pangasinan, around 4 p.m., the QCPD Public Information Office told the Inquirer in a text message.

“Our instruction was to pick her up and have the medical officer check if she is at home and determine what medical attention she needs,” Silvio explained.

Nonetheless, the QCPD director noted that de Juan was “alive and well.”

“She has made some revelations, but they are not yet consistent. Perhaps we will address them later. Once she is here, we will interview her. She might just be tired,” he added.

Since his fiancé’s disappearance, Reyes had appealed to the public online for help to locate de Juan, offering a P150,000 (US$2,548) reward for information. - Philippine Daily Inquirer/ANN
