Chinese national in Cambodia wounded in Cambodia-Thailand border conflict

PHNOM PENH: A Chinese citizen was wounded on Monday (Dec 22) morning when the Thai military forces fired artillery shells at residential areas in Cambodia's Battambang province, said a Cambodian Ministry of Interior's press release.

"This incident resulted in one civilian house being completely destroyed and one Chinese national being injured," the press release said.

The Cambodia-Thailand border conflict has reignited since Dec 7, and both sides have accused the other of initiating the attack. - Xinhua
