BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: The Brunei Council on Social Welfare (MKM) on Thursday (Nov 27) received basic food donations from the MS Sayang Community Service Programme, an initiative organised by a group of students from Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Science College.

The donation, under MKM’s Makanan Asasi programme, will benefit 20 registered MKM households, providing each family with two sacks of rice, cooking oil, sugar, eggs and assorted canned food.

MKM’s Deputy President 1 Mohd Daini Majid received the donation at a ceremony, in the presence of the college’s Deputy Principal of the Sixth Form Unit Ani Suryani Bahe along with senior teachers.

The programme, launched in 2015, is one of MKM’s long-standing charity efforts and currently provides monthly essential food supplies to 80 families in need. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
