BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Passengers on Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) flights can stay connected online with the launch of RB SkyConnect, the airline’s new inflight Wi-Fi service powered by global satellite provider SES starting on Nov 18.

Minister of Development Dato Seri Setia Awang Muhammad Juanda Abdul Rashid, who is also chairman of RB, launched the RB SkyConnect.

Powered by SES’ advanced multi-orbit system, RB SkyConnect connects to both geostationary and lowEarth orbit satellites, ensuring stable and uninterrupted connectivity across RB’s route network.

The system is enabled by SES’ electronically steered array antenna, which delivers unmatched reliability and performance. The first successful installation of the RB SkyConnect system was completed in Brunei on one of RB’s Airbus A320neo aircraft by the airline’s engineering team including the Avionics and Structures divisions with support from SES.

Full fleet installation across all A320neo aircraft is expected to be completed by May 2026. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
