Laos launches infrastructure rehabilitation strategy to strengthen disaster resilience

VIENTIANE: The Lao government has launched a strategy for infrastructure rehabilitation through 2035, a major step toward strengthening the country's resilience to natural disasters.

The strategy provided a comprehensive framework and preventive tool to guide effective management and use of state investment budgets for post-disaster infrastructure rehabilitation, according to Lao News Agency on Friday (Oct 17).

The strategy also aimed to strengthen coordination and collaboration between the finance sector and other relevant sectors. - Xinhua
