BANGKOK: The Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation (DNP) on Wednesday (Sept 10) ordered a temporary closure of the safari zone at Safari World in Bangkok following the fatal mauling of a staff member by a pride of lions.
The attack, which occurred in front of tourists, has raised concerns about animal safety and the zoo's operational procedures. Police are accelerating their investigation after video footage of the incident spread widely on social media.
