Six die in ropeway accident at Hindu temple site in India


NEW DELHI (Bernama): At least six people were killed in a ropeway accident in India's Gujarat state on Saturday.

The dead included two lift operators and two workers as a trolley carrying construction material for a Hindu temple site broke down in the Panchmahal district, according to local media reports.

The incident took place at Pavagadh Hill, about 150 kilometres from Ahmedabad. The hill temple is situated at a height of 800 metres.

A separate ropeway for pilgrims was closed due to bad weather. - Bernama
