Heavy rains trigger flash floods, damage homes in Myanmar's Shan State

YANGON: Torrential rains caused flash floods in Pinlaung Township on August 2, leading to severe erosion that damaged residential homes, according to Myanmar's Fire Services Department.

The incident occurred around 1 p.m. in Lwemong Village, Htipawng Village Tract, where heavy downpours sent mountain runoff surging through the area, washing away parts of houses.
