HANOI: For more than six decades, population work in Vietnam has been recognised as a top strategic priority, closely tied to the nation's sustainable development.

Now, as Vietnam grapples with profound demographic shifts, the country is preparing to take a major legislative leap with the formulation of its first-ever Population Law.
