YANGON: It is reported that the state-owned Myanmar National Airlines has signed a memorandum of understanding between Myanmar National Airlines and the Chongqing Myanmar Association to operate direct flights to Chongqing, China.
The signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between Myanmar National Airlines and Chongqing Myanmar Group was held in Chongqing, People's Republic of China, on Monday (May 19).
The signing ceremony was attended by Myanmar National Airlines CEO U Khop Khant Mon and officials, the chairman and officials of the Chongqing Myanmar Association, representatives of the Chongqing Provincial Administration, representatives of the Myanmar Consulate in Chongqing, and invited guests.
Myanmar National Airlines plans to start operating direct flights between Yangon-Chongqing-Yangon in early August 2025.
Myanmar National Airlines operates the Yangon-Kunming-Yangon route weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays using Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft.
The services will include a baggage allowance of 20kg and a hand carry allowance of 7kg.
Myanmar National Airlines is operating the Yangon-Mandalay-Yangon route using a Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft, and the fare is 242,000 kyats per one-way flight, according to Myanmar National Airlines.
Myanmar National Airlines operates domestic flights on the Yangon-Mandalay-Yangon route using Boeing 737-800NG aircraft and ATR 72-600 aircraft.
