SINGAPORE (The Straits Times/ANN): Two people were taken to hospital after an accident involving two cars in Choa Chu Kang on Feb 1.

The police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to an incident at the junction of Choa Chu Kang Drive and the slip road to KJE towards PIE at 1.45pm that day.

A 64-year-old male car driver and his 58-year-old female passenger were subsequently taken conscious to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.

In a video posted on the SG Road Vigilante Facebook page, a video recorded from another car that had halted at a red light crossing shows the two cars – a dark-coloured sedan, which was travelling in the same direction as the camera car; and a silver sport utility vehicle, which was on the sedan’s right and going across the junction along with other vehicles – colliding.

The police said a 53-year-old male car driver is assisting with investigations. - The Straits Times/ANN
