PHNOM PENH: Laos and Cambodia on Wednesday (Dec 4) signed three deals to further promote bilateral ties and cooperation, said a news release after the event.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and visiting Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone witnessed the signing ceremony of the deals after their bilateral meeting at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh.

One signed document was an agreement on the elimination of double taxation with respect to taxes on income and the prevention of tax evasion and avoidance between the two neighbouring countries, the news release said.

The two sides also signed memoranda of understanding on agricultural, cultural and arts cooperation, it said.

Sonexay arrived in Phnom Penh on Wednesday morning for a two-day official visit at the invitation of Manet. - Xinhua
