DESPITE being 63 years old, Andy Lau keeps captivating his audiences and it was just incredible as seen over the last four days. All sold out performances and it just left his many, many fans breathless and just thrilled at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil.

The "Today... is the Day" Andy Lau Concert Tour 2024 in Kuala Lumpur kicked off on October 24, marking the thrilling start of the highly anticipated event. Presented by Maybank and MYEG, and organised by Star Planet with Infinitus as co-organiser, all four shows sold out within two hours, attracting an expected audience of more than 40,000 eager fans.

And just about everyone was just amazed at the senior and veteran superstar of Asian music and acting. For four days, an exhilarating two hours and 45 minutes performance filled with non-stop singing and dancing, showcasing his remarkable stamina. Thousands of fans were left in awe as the Hong Kong's superstar delivered an extraordinary spectacle.

Known for his unparalleled charisma and versatility, Lau—an icon in both film and music—delivered an unforgettable experience that showcased his enduring appeal. Not only Malaysian fans but just about fans all over Asia and even the world wonder just how this incredible performer keeps getting better with his boundless and endless enthusiasm.

And just like Andy Lau, the man, he humorously remarked that he was worried he might lose his voice after the first show due to the fans' excitement.

Towards the end of the performances, he said "If you're still willing to see me at the age of 80, I'll keep on making outstanding movies and grow old with you!” This sentiment resonated deeply, adding a poignant touch to an unforgettable night.

And his death-defying stunt at the beginning of the concert left many fans at their edge of their seat, some were utterly thrilled and many even worried for his safety.

The 63-year-old stood on a narrow platform that was raised more than 5 metre-high from the ground without a harness while singing his hit Jin Tian, putting fans on the edge of their seats throughout the act.

At his first concert, he started the performance with his hits such as "Today," "No One Can Be Like You," and "Foolish Child." The audience sang along during every chorus, prompting Andy Lau to commend their engagement, describing it as "extraordinary."

Both stage effects and performances have been meticulously crafted to deliver an outstanding concert experience.

The first half captivates the audience with spectacular visual effects, moving from the majestic presence of a Chinese dragon to the bustling charm of 1920s Shanghai, as if the audience was witnessing an extravagant old Shanghai musical, with a brief waltz segment.

After a five-year absence, Andy Lau felt a deep sense of intimacy and was reunited with his family members upon returning to his second hometown.

Known as "Handsome Lau" for over 40 years, he joked that he’s even more handsome now than in his youth. When everyone promised to love him for ten thousand years, he humorously reminded them not to fool the elderly, as he placed "full trust in their promise".

The encore performance of "Today...is the Day" Andy Lau Concert Tour 2024 showcased an energetic medley of uplifting songs that invigorated the atmosphere.
