Vietnam's tourism sector raises the bar to bring in fresh waves of holidaymakers

HANOI: Major tourist destinations across the country experienced a successful summer tourism season with impressive numbers of holidaymakers to Vietnam.

According to the General Statistics Office, in the first eight months of this year, Vietnam welcomed nearly 11.4 million foreign visitors, a surge of 45.8 per cent year on year, and an increase of 1 per cent over the same time in 2019 before Covid-19 pandemic broke out.
